Yamaha PSR-E213
$150.00
Released January, 2010
The Pros:Very well priced for those looking to learn keyboard as it includes Yamaha's Education Suite V5 software. Cheap option for those looking for a full-size MIDI controller. Portable grand setting sounds pretty good for an entry-level keyboard.
The Cons:Feels cheap--flimsy, plasticky construction. Keys feel flimsy with no real touch sensitivity (unlike the step-up E313 model). Automatically defaults to the loudest volume, which is very loud, every time you turn it on.
The Yamaha PSR-E213 is an entry level keyboard with 61 full sized, touch sensitive keys. It features the Portable Grand button, as well as the interactive Yamaha Education Suite V5. It comes with the Real Stereo sound quality and a chord dictionary with a built-in metronome.

The PSR-E213 features touch-sensitve keys, which enables the user to get different volumes of keys depending on how hard or soft they press the buttons. The Portable Grand button allows for a real piano sound with the touch of a button. The Yamaha Education Suite V5 has 102 built in songs for users to enjoy as well as 7 levels of lessons with a chord dictionary and built-in metronome. It comes equipped with Real Stereo sound quality, with stereo-sampling technology, not just simply 2 speakers.
Feature upgrades to the PSR-E313 model would include a backlit LCD display, expressive touch through the Touch Response keys, and 482 instrument voices (instead of 375).
