Whistler XTR-335

$120.00 Released June, 2010

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Very accurate, not too many false alarms. Consistently detects active radar signals. Voice alerts are very helpful, better than just some beeps.

The Cons:Unnecessary voice alert during startup, get tired of hearing it.

The Whistler XTR-335 is a high-mid cost radar detector. This radar detector has the exact same specs as the closely related XTR-330, but is a little bigger and all black (whereas the XTR-330 has a gray insert).

Where to Buy

The two radar detectors are priced the same. The XTR-335 offers total band protection (including X, K and Ka bands). This radar detector can also detect the elusive POP mode radar. The radar detection runs a full 360 degrees around your vehicle, so that you are informed of threats in any direction. You can choose to be notified of threats by the real voice alerts, or by the more discreet periscopes; these LED lights can be programmed to flash when there is a threat, stay solidly on, or turn off completely. The XTR-335 has three city modes (which vary in the degree of their filtering), and one highway mode (which is unfiltered, letting you know everything the XTR-335 picks up, near or far). The XTR-335 is equipped with VG-2 cloaking technology, which senses when a radar detector detector is nearby, and shuts down the XTR-335 until the radar detector detector is gone. The Whistler XTR-335 comes with a one year warranty.
