Product Shot 1 The Pros:Access times are fast enough for most purposes. Generally can't hear it during operation. Compatible with a wide range of systems, uses standard connections and a standard slot, observes industry standards.

The Cons:Included software doesn't take RAID configurations into account, may need to tweak BIOS to shut RAID off. Generates a fair amount of heat during heavy usage times.

The Western Digital WD20EURS is the top hard drive derivative in the AV-GP SATA 1 HDD series. It features 2TB (1000GB) of onboard storage, which is enough to store 240 hours of video content. As a premium-grade drive, the WD20EURS HDD features a drive arm that frequently sweeps across the disk to reduce uneven wear.

Product Shot 2 Also included is IntelliPower technology, which reduces power consumption by up to 40%. Most notable though is IntelliSeek, which automatically configures the vest speed for minimal noise and vibration. In fact, the WD20EURS drive is purportedly so quiet that, even from a few inches way, one cannot hear it—whether idling, seeking, or writing.
