The Cons:Dark Java Brown Finish may not be everyone's cup of coffee. Stand doesn't rotate. Buttons on the TV are all the same, evenly spaced - difficult to know what you're pressing unless you look at the labels.

The Vizio VL420M is a 42" LCD HDTV from Vizio's VL Series for 2009 and is a step up from the VL370M.  The television features a native resolution of 1080p for full high-definition graphics and has a 50,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio to provide deep blacks and bright whites.

  It is designed with a java brown bezel and includes 120Hz SmoothMotion technology and a 5ms response time for crisp, blur-free images.  The VL420M has dual built-in 10-watt speakers and utilizes SRS TruSurround HD and SRS TruVolume technology for quality accompanying sound.  It comes equipped with a variety of inputs including composite, component, S-Video, USB, and four HDMI inputs.  The TV is also Energy Star compliant and consumes 15% less power than Energy Star 3.0 standards.  The VL420M has a suggested retail price of $900 and comes with a 1 year limited warranty.

    USB Media port works with USB thumb drives. May work with Hard drive depending on model.
