ViewSonic VX2453mh-LED

$239.99 Released February, 2011

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Looks good even when it's off, bezel is clean and looks high-end. Easy to find the buttons and controls. Good viewing angles, can be seen from the side or when standing.

The Cons:Speakers are tinny and washed out, only good for basic beeps and system sounds. Stand can't be adjusted up and down. Volume control is adjusted directly on the monitor, can't be done through Windows, more awkward than it needs to be.

The ViewSonic VX2453mh-LED is one of three ultra-slim, LCD monitors between 2” and 27” released together in early 2011. It and its peers upgrade from the VA48m-LED by incorporating a much slimmer bezel.

Like its peers in the VX53mh-LED Series, the VX2453mh-LED offers LED backlighting to in turn allow for an ultra-high 30,000,000:1 contrast ratio. It too also features a full 1080p HD resolution, integrated premium-grade stereo speakers, and an ultra-fast 2ms response time. Connectivity is especially signature, as the monitor includes one VGA and two HDMI ports, which means it can be simultaneously connected to both an HDTV and a PC.

Gary Kind
Gary Kind: #viewsonic_vx2453mh_led I have Viewsonic VX2453mh-LED and an NVidia GTX 580. At 1920x1080p, the actual image of the desktop is larger than the physical screen by about 3/8" on all edges. To fix this I had to use the monitor settings on the monitor itself. To do this I pressed the "1" at the right edge of the monitor. This brought up a tabbed dialog in the middle of the screen. I use the down arrow to go to "Input Settings", then pressed "2" to select. My Monitor was set to HDMI-2, AV. When I changed AV to PC, the desktop displayed correctly. Apr 26, 11

Anonymous: I agree with the other two responders. This was a gift to my wife and it was obviously not working right. ViewSonic web site was useless. Thanks very much. Jan 9, 13
