ViewSonic VT2342
$300.00
Released October, 2009
The Pros:Setup is very easy, good on-screen menus that are easy to navigate. Remote control is well designed, easy to work with. Fights glare well, don't have to worry too much about the room's lighting.
The Cons:Sound is a bit poorly defined, hard to hear what people are saying. Text in the menus can seem a little small if you're too far away.
The VT2342 is a 23" high-definition panel from ViewSonic, intended for use both as HDTV and desktop computer display. The unit natively displays 1080p content, a feature which may not improve TV viewing on a 23" display, but which would make a difference in PC gaming.

The ordinary key specifications include a 1000:1 (10,000:1 dynamic) contrast ratio, 170º viewing angle, and 5ms response time. The VT2342 features three HDMI inputs, including one side port. The unit is very similar to ViewSonic's VA2323wm desktop monitor, but with the added HDTV functionality, targeting buyers requiring one monitor for both uses.
