Verizon FiveSpot

The Verizon FiveSpot is a 3G mobile WiFi hotspot released as an upgrade from the EVDO Rev A MiFi 2200. Unlike its peer, the FiveSpot benefits business travelers worldwide as it can connect to CDMA EVDO and GSM UMTS networks in other countries.

In accordance with its release, Verizon added a new pre-paid data plan promising 5GB at an $80/month rate. The other rate options remain the same, including 100MB for 1 day at $15, 300MB for 1 week at $30, and 1GB for 1 month at $50. Critics speculate that it will support 5 simultaneous users/devices, though there is no official confirmation as of yet.
