The Turtle Beach Ear Force XL1 is an entry level gaming headset designed to offer quality sound and clear communication with a manageable price tag. The oversized cicumaural design features padding around the entire ear for a comfortable fit, and more encompassing sound from the XL1's 50 mm headphone speakers.

Designed as a step up from the Xbox standard headset (which has a single ear speaker and sits on-ear rather than over) the XL1 also features in-line amplifier for adjusting game volume, chat volume, and bass level, adding depth and minor customization to the audio experience. The headset provides microphone monitoring, allowing gamers to hear themselves through their own headset without having to talk over the sound of the game or other players.
