Product Shot 1The TRENDnet TK-403KR is a four port KVM switch, a device that allows up for four computers to be connected to the same keyboard, mouse, and monitor for ease-of-use, accessibility, and saving space. In addition to the usual mouse, keyboard, and monitor, the TK-403KR can also be used to connect one set of speakers and one microphone to all four computers.

It should be noted that all connections to the switch and computers are not USB and must either be 6-pin connections, 3.5mm jacks, or 15 pin VGA for monitors. Video resolutions can go up to 2048 x 1536, and only one computer can be displayed on the monitor at a time.

In order to switch between terminals, the user can either use a hotkey set up on the attached keyboard on manually do it by choosing designated buttons on the TK-403KR's front panel. LEDs are used to identify each computer that is currently connected to the system and will change color to signify whether that computer is currently selected, online, or offline. Operating Systems that are officially supported include Microsoft Windows up until XP versions; although a more recent OS may work, they are not officially listed.
