Designed to save space and time, the TK-401R is a small, lightweight device that is recommended to be mounted on rack within the room of use. Instead of each computer having its own monitor, mouse, and keyboard, cables for each peripheral are supplemented and connected directly into the KVM switch. Four VGA ports allow for displays to be transferred to the single monitor and presented in up to 1920 x 1440 resolutions. Computers can be auto detected when connected to the TK-401R and are hot swappable while in use.
Switching computers can be done by use of a hotkey on the keyboard or manually with a push of a button on the KVM switch itself. LEDs are used to signify connected systems on the front side of the switch. Microsoft Operating Systems are only officially supported up until XP and 2003; Vista and Windows 7 may not work with this model.
