Product Shot 1The TRENDnet TK-217i is a two port VGA KVM switch with connections for a USB keyboard and mouse. The TK-217i is entirely cable based on has no main unit and therefore no mouse emulator. Because of this, each computer connected to the device must be plugged in over USB in order for keyboard and mouse control to function.

The TRENDnet TK-217i is powered over USB. It requires no driver installation and is therefore cross-platform. However, the convenience KVM switcher software is limited to Windows and Mac. Linux uses can only switch between computers by using the push-button switch. The TRENDnet TK-217i does not feature audio switching, so each computer still uses its individual audio outputs and connections.
