$50.00 Released January, 2010

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Runs at very low power, eco-friendly. Runs silently - there is no fan and no moving parts. Some support for jumbo packets, allowing data to flow in larger chunks.

The Cons:Network runs completely unmanaged - can't monitor traffic throughput. Doesn't incorporate IP sharing or routing.

The TRENDnet TEG-S80Dg is an entry-level, 8-port Gigabit switch introduced at CES2010. Like its predecessors (TEG-S5g, TEG-S50g), the TEG-S80Dg features GREENnet technology, which automatically determines and supplies the appropriate amount of electrical power to each hardwired port as required by the connected device, the port, or the length of the utilized Ethernet cable.
