TP-Link TL-WA730RE

Released September, 2010
The Pros:No dropped connections while in range, very stable. Good compatibility with the most popular encryption standards. Easy to adjust settings, everything where it is expected to be.
The Cons:Doesn't automatically detect IP conflicts, need to watch for that if something isn't working. Download speed sometimes drops dramatically - after a reboot it get's back to normal.

TimC340:
#tp_link_tl_wa730re This extender is terrible to set up unless you have an unsecured wifi network supplied by a TP-Link router. For all other makes, its lack of compatibility and dreadful instructions makes setting up a game of guesswork and experience - so, if you don't rate yourself 'expert' at this stuff, forget it!
