Toshiba Satellite Pro M300-S1002

$1,149.00 Released April, 2008

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Packs powerful processors in a portable package, with a good amount of ram and spacious hard drive. Strong performance for productivity uses, paired with the subtle aesthetics, it is a good option for business users. Offers a range of connectivity options such as USB ports, firewire and express card slot expansion.

The Cons:Display has poor contrast and viewing angles. Glossy display on what is suppose to be a business notebook is beyond disappointing, essentially a re-badged consumer Satellite notebook. Battery life is disappointing for a portable notebook with no dedicated graphics, seems like Toshiba skimmed on the 6 cell battery pack.

The Satellite Pro M300-S1002 from Toshiba is a sleek business laptop. Its 1280x800 display screen is 14.1" wide, with a high-gloss coat. The unit has a built-in webcam and microphone for video conferencing, and has USB "Sleep and Charge" to allow for charging mobile devices via USB when the computer is powered down.

Heavy for a 14.1" notebook, at 5.1lbs this is heavier than most 14.1" notebook from Dell and HP
