Unlike many of its peers, the M505-S4980 is not especially business and communications friendly; it includes 802.11b/g/n connectivity, but only hosts standard 10/100 Ethernet. Suffice it to say, the notebook is more useful for entertainment purposes. Consider, for instance, its wide-array of multimedia components: an HDMI-CEC interface for transmitting to a compatible HDTV, a DVD drive for watching/burning films, superior-quality Harmon/Kardon speakers, and a 14” screen that can easily handle 720p high-definition content.
