Toshiba Satellite L505-LS5017

The L505-LS5017, available exclusively at Costco, is an entry-level model in Toshiba's L505 series of 15.6" Satellite notebook computers, now succeeded by the L650 models. Although it runs on an older, 2.20GHz dual-core Pentium processor, the consumer-class LS5017 is equipped with 4GB of DDR3 RAM and features 320 GB of storage space.

The laptop comes with Wi-Fi built-in, but lacks Bluetooth, and is not very mobile, with a battery life under 3 hours and weight over 6 lbs. A media card reader, webcam, and microphone ensure some everyday functionality, but the model is not intended for gamers, using integrated graphics. The L505-ES5018 is virtually identical, but features 3GB of RAM and a graphite finish, while the LS5017's is matte silver.
