Toshiba Satellite A665-S6050
$792.00
Released June, 2010
The Pros:Good amount of ram and hard drive space for the price, plenty for movies and TV shows, makes for a good portable media system. Includes Intel wireless card, not Atheros, which tends to be problematic. Has a range of outputs such as HDMI, eSATA/USB combo, the remaining USB ports can also charge devices even when the computer is in sleep mode.
The Cons:Price is on the higher end of the budget notebook segment considering it has a Core i3 processor. For a 16" display, the 1366x768 resolution is disappointing, the A665 model with Blu-Ray drive is also 1366x768 only. The Dell Vostro series is arguably the better option with more configurable options, especially for business centric users.
