Toshiba's Qosmio line of laptops is their premiere offering for enthusiast users. The G45-AV680 is a media centric notebook that features FullHD 1080p processing, and the first laptop to provide an HD-DVD recordable drive built in.

HD-DVDs can record up to 15GB of data per layer, with this drive supporting up to two layers making for a total of 30GB of storage. Naturally, the drive supports HD-DVD playback which can show up on the laptop's screen or be sent through the included HDMI port to a compatible television. All features of a normal DVD writer are supported. Specs-wise the G45 is similar to the Asus G2S-A1 featuring the same nVidia GeForce 8600M GT graphics card, and 1080p resolution display.
