The Toshiba Portégé R600 is based on Intel Centrino 2 technology and can be obtained in two separate configurations. The R600-S4201 has a 160GB hard drive, whereas the R600-S4202 has a 128 GB hard drive.

Both Portégé R600 configurations feature an Intel Core 2 Duo 1.4GHz processor, GMA 4500MHD integrated graphics, and 3GB DDR2. They also include an on-board DVD burner, integrated webcam, the Intel Wi-Fi Link 5100AGN wireless module, Bluetooth, Gigabit LAN, and a USB/eSATA port. The Toshiba Portégé R600 also has a 12” transflective LCD screen that allows users to save power by using sunlight to view onscreen content.  In addition, the R600 offers the Trusted Platform Module 1.2, a fingerprint reader, and a battery capable of providing 7.53 hours of laptop use.
