The Toshiba Portégé R600-S4212 is a configuration option from the Portégé R600 laptop family. It is in fact the first unit in the series to incorporate a solid-state drive. The drive is relatively small at only 128GB; but keep in mind that solid-state drive technology dramatically improves transmission speeds versus conventional HDD technology.

Like its peers, the R600-S4212 features an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 3GB of DDR2 RAM, and Bluetooth V2.1+EDR. The Bluetooth functionality allows the unit to wirelessly connect to a Bluetooth-compatible mouse, keyboard, router, etc. Additional features include 802.11b/g/n wireless connectivity, Gigabit LAN, webcam/mic combo set, and a DVD SuperMulti drive. Included also is a digital fingerprint reader for enhanced security.
