Toshiba Portege M780-S7210

$1,279.00 Released March, 2010

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Constructed solidly, nothing flexes inappropriately. Buttons at the base of the screen feel sturdy and are easy to work with. Battery lasts for several hours at a time.

The Cons:Pretty small, reading text on it will tire your eyes out by the end of the day. Hard drive is a bit smaller than average for any modern laptop.

The Toshiba Portege M780-S7210 is one of four available configuration options for the Portege M780 notebook released in March 2010 as an update to the M750. Some of the more notable features include USB Sleep-and-Charge for powering up portable electronic devices even when the notebook is asleep or off; a fingerprint reader for improved security; and Gigabit Ethernet / 802.11n WiFi connectivity. Unlike its peers, however, the S7210 lacks an optical drive, a webcam, and Bluetooth connectivity. Additional features include speakers, a mic, and support for both eSATA and Firewire.
