Unlike Top Spin 3, in which there were no visual indicators to help players, Top Spin 4 offers a three-tiered meter for building wind for a shot, which makes the game much easier for impatient folks who don’t want to spend hours learning the proper way to hit a ball. Unfortunately, the system was overdone in that the gameplay isn’t even slightly reminiscent of real tennis. Critics say Top Spin 4 would have been better if two modes were included: a slow one for amateurs, and an ultra-fast one for veterans.
