The TiVo Premiere XL is a maxed out version of the fourth generation TiVo Premiere series which comes with 1 terabyte of disk space or up to 150 hours of HD DVR recording and an improved HD user interface.

Product Shot 2 Aside form the memory upgrade it is exactly the same as the TiVo Premiere which has 320 gigabytes or up to 45 hours of HD recording, but with added THX Certified technology for top quality video and a TiVo Glo backlit remote control. It can be used as a set-top box with your existing cable connection and internet connection for access to HD tv shows, Netflix on TiVo, Amazon Instant Video, Blockbuster on Demand, Youtube on Demand and many other content sites such as Picasa and Photobucket for viewing photos and Pandora and Rhapsody for streaming audio. Some updates to the user interface over the third generation TiVos include a dual screen browser so you can continue to watch your program while searching titles, 30-second commercial skip feature, disk space meter and an included free iPhone/iPad app that you can browse, schedule and record programs with from the phone or computer. Multiple outputs include HDMI, Composite and Component Video, as well as audio outputs for connecting to your home theater system in both Analog and Digital format for optimum clarity. Swivel Search is TiVos information search engine that has become more powerful with the inclusion of the internet for an IMDB-like experience, letting you look up anything related to movies, actors and directors etc with an almost unlimited access to online information.
