Product Shot 1 The Pros:Google TV, access to thousands of applications. Full Google Chrome web browser. Good colour accuracy.

The Cons:Limited analog in/outputs. Subpar black levels. Poor screen uniformity from Google TV sources.

The Sony Internet TV NSX-40GT1 is one of four Sony Internet HDTVs released in mid 2010 alongside the matching, Internet-capable NSZ-GT1. Unlike other 40” HDTVs on the market, this specific model integrates standard ATSC/NTSC/Clear-QAM television with Google TV.

Product Shot 2 Via the integrated WiFi and Gigabit LAN modules, users can access pre-installed apps (or download other apps through the Android Market), with which they can stream audio/video content from the web, as well as access social networking sites. Signature to the TV NSX-40GT1 is its LED-backlighting, which helps the LCD display deliver much higher-quality controls and blacks through an enhanced contrast ratio. Featured also is a QWERTY remote (described as looking like a gaming controller) that makes it simple for users to navigate the web, type, and search.

Additional Information

Later in 2011 access to the Android Market and the ability to link to select mobile phones was also added.
