Sony Alpha SLT-A35

$600.00 Released August, 2011

Product Shot 1 The Pros:New 16-MP sensor and BIONZ image processor for improved low-light shooting. Speedy - ready from off in 0.7 seconds, low AF shutter lag in good light, ready to take another shot in 0.5-0.7 seconds. Fast continuous shooting - 5.5fps for 18 JPEGs or 6 RAW.

The Cons:Low battery life next to other entry-level DSLRs. Short video recording length - sensor overheating issue.

The Sony Alpha SLT-A35 is an interchangeable lens digital SLR camera designed to be light and compact, with an easy to use interface. Building off Sony's a33 and the a55 models' translucent mirror technology, which provides continuous accurate autofocus to both stills and full HD video recordings, the a35 couples this with a new APS HD CMOS sensor providing detailed low-noise images with a resolution of 16.2 effective megapixels.

A BIONZ processor optimizes image data and color reproduction, while the a35 boasts a maximum sensitivity of ISO 12800 (and extension to ISO 25600) to allow crisp and natural low-light image capturing. Picture effect presets also provide a series of artistic photo augmentations, reducing the need for some post editing procedures.
