The Smooth Fitness 6.75 is an upper mid-priced fitness treadmill, a middle offering in this product line. The 6.75 has many features in common with the closely related 5.65. Both treadmills have a sound system that allows you to plug in your iPod, MP3 player or CD player, so that you can hear your music out loud instead of having to deal with headphone wires.

 Both treadmills have a dual-stage folding frame that makes it easy to get ready for storage: you just have to tilt the deck into position and it is ready to be wheeled away. Fold it back and it is ready for use. Both the 6.75 and the 5.65 also have handrail toggle switches, which allow you to adjust your incline and speed while staying in motion on the treadmill. The 6.75 is a step up from the lower cost 5.65 model in that it has a dual color LCD display instead of blue LCD display, 3.0HP motor instead of 2.5HP motor, reading rack (which is an optional add-on for the 5.65), and an ultra-quiet whisper weave treadbelt (which the 5.65 lacks completely). However, the 6.75 lacks the higher end 7.35's seven year parts warranty, twenty preset exercise programs (the 6.75 only has fourteen), handrail one touch controls (instead of the 6.75's handrail toggle switches), and industrial strength frame. The Smooth Fitness 6.75 comes with a five year parts warranty and two year labor warranty. The frame and motor both have lifetime warranties.
