The Ski-Doo Expedition Sport (2011) is a utility snowmobile built as a low-cost solution for off-trail exploration. This is a scaled down version of the Ski-Doo Expedition LE and, while it shares the same basic construction, it has a simplified set of features to reduce the weight and the cost.

The biggest difference is the transmission, now being a simplified single forward gear with RER electronic reverse. There are no passenger grips, but many of the other features that are signatures to the Expedition series remain. An SC-5U articulating rear suspension is used with a 20 inch wide track, and Pilot 6.9 skis can be adjusted to account for various types of terrain and cargo. The 2-up seat can be removed, and both a rack and hitch are built in to aid in hauling cargo. A basic Brembo hydraulic brake is used, and the system has an electric starter.
