The Stradic 3000 FI's Fluidrive II feature polishes the gear surface to maximize tooth contact, for a more efficient overall cast. This spinning reel is equipped with Super Stopper II, an anti-reverse feature that uses a one-way bearing to eliminate backplay. The Stradic 3000 FI spinning reel is equipped with the Paladin Gear Durability Enhancement system. This system utilizes a cold forged aluminum drive gear and a hardened brass pinion gear to help the reel retain its out-of-the-box smoothness. This model differs from the closely related 2500 FI model in that the 2500 FI has thirty-four inches of line retrieve per crank (as opposed to the 3000 FI's thirty-five inches), has a different line capacity (6/200, 8/140, 10/120 as opposed to the 3000 FI's 6/230, 8/170, 10/140), and a different power pro line capacity (10/170, 15/145, 30/95 as opposed to the 3000 FI's 10/235, 20/145, 40/110). The Shimano Stradic 3000 FI spinning reel is equipped with the Aero Wrap II oscillation system, which creates a uniform line lay and winding shape to prevent loss of energy during casting.
