Scythe Katana 3

$25.00 Released July, 2009

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Inexpensive compared to most third party coolers. 4-pin fan. Quieter than stock HSFs.

The Cons:92mm fan compatible only - smaller always means louder, must run faster to move the same amount of air as a larger fan. Core i7 compatibility is questionable when it comes to its useful application with that platform. Not the coolest or quietest compared to higher-end coolers.

The Katana 3 is a midrange CPU cooler from Scythe, released in late 2009. As the third interation in the Katana series, the cooler is comparatively lightweight at 495 g and features tooless installation for securing the cooler to the motherboard.
