The Pros:LED backlit - produces more vibrant colors and deeper blacks when compared to CCFL-based competitors. Lightweight and thin - great for wall mounting. Lots of local media sharing options - AllShare (DLNA), ConnectShare and USB.
The Cons:Lacks Internet apps - no support for Hulu, Netflix, Pandora etc. Lacks 3D support - not compatible with any form of 3D entertainment. Slow refresh rate - only 60Hz compared to the 120/240Hz modes on competing LEDs.
The UN55C5000 is a high-end HDTV from Samsung's 5 series. It shares similar features to an HDTV from Samsung's 6 series, the UA65C6500. Both HDTVs use AllShare technology (which lets the user transfer media from a PC or mobile device to their TV), both have an ultra clear panel (eliminates reflection), and both use Anynet+ technology (lets the user remotely control HDMI devices).

However, the UN65C6500 has more features than the UN55C5000, including Internet@TV technology (which allows internet browsing through a television). It also has a larger screen (65" versus 55"). The UN55C5000 features 3D compatibility, which, when paired with Samsung 3D glasses, will add an entire other dimension to entertainment. It also ensures compatibility with the latest 3D movies and games. It also features a mega dynamic contrast ratio of 3 000 000:1 provides better picture quality. It does this by combining deep blacks and bright whites. This lets color look more vivid, and greatly enhanced. However, this HDTV is a 60Hz set which is weaker to a number of TV sees that use 120/240Hz, which gives the user a smoother image.
