Released March, 2011
The Pros:Excellent picture quality for the price. Slim, space saving design. Attractive exterior design.
The Cons:Does not include 3D glasses. Bezel can be reflective, annoying during the day.
The Samsung PN51D490, at fifty-one inches, is the larger model in the lower cost D490 plasma HDTV line (as opposed to the PN43D490 model, which measures in at forty-three inches). Thanks to Samsung's Plasma+1 technology, the display of this model is an inch larger than the 2010 version, with no difference made to the thin exterior dimensions (the 2.2 inch depth stays the same).
