The Roku XD is one of three wireless, high-definition media streamers (HD, XD, XDS) released in Fall 2010. As an upgrade from the HD, the Roku XD upgrades its video processing up to a full 1080p high-definition resolution.

Plus its WiFi connectivity is further extended by an extended-range Wireless N module that transmits faster and further. Like its compact counterpart, the XD supports wireless streaming from one of 75 Roku channels (Netflex, Pandora, etc.), as well as wired streaming to HDTVs and composite-based televisions. Also included is an advanced remote with instant replay and info functionalities.

There is no power button. The device does go into standby after an extended period of non-usage
