The Pros:Audio output is clear and detailed, sounds great. Enough power output for most people's needs, gets reasonably loud. Fairly compact design, will likely fit in available space.

The Rockford Fosgate R1653 is a single 6.50”, 3-way speaker released as an upgrade from the R1652-S. It itself offers the same power output (40W RMS, 80W MAX) as the two 6.5” speakers in the R1652-S model.

Featured is a large 6.5” mica injected polypropylene cone woofers, .5” Myler balanced dome tweeter, and an advanced tweeter high-pass crossover network. The frequency response has also been improved, as it now ranges between 48Hz and 22kHz.
