Polar RS100

The Polar RS100 Heart Rate Monitor is a wrist worn heart rate monitor with built-in stopwatch and clock. It is a leightweight, basic heart rate monitor which is easy to use, practical and comes with extra features such as  heart rate target zones, calorie counter, long battery life and a clear, backlit display.

This heart rate monitor is similar to other Polar devices and comes in a black, wrist watch design. The monitor is worn with the coded transmitter worn around the chest to measure the heart rate. The code prevents interference from other monitoring products that may be worn by people exercising in close proximity, making it suitable for exercise classes as well as individual training. This monitor records the average and maximum heart rate for each lap and for the training session as a whole. This device also has a Target Zone function which can be set manually or automatically which makes exercising at the right intensity easier. When the wearer moves out of the zone, an audible alarm will sound notifying the user. The Polar RS100 comes with the OwnCal feature which allows the user to track the number of calories that are burned during an idividual training session, and also calculate total calories used during several training session. This feature can be used to set specific goals in terms of calorie burning to be achieved over a defined period of time. Some of the other important features of this heart rate monitor are a Keylock to prevent accidental button pressing, a 2 year battery life and water resistance upto 50m.
