This docking station is similar to Pioneer’s XW-NAC1-K and XW-NAC3-K. Both are higher-end docks that support the use of 2 iPods/iPhones simultaneously and feature options such as Bluetooth audio streaming or DLNA home networking. The XW-NAV1-K is a fully functional CD/DVD player, complete with HDMI video out for use with HDTVs. Those who aren’t very computer savvy will likely appreciate the CD-to-MP3 ripping feature. With the touch of a button, music can be converted to MP3 and transferred to an attached USB thumb drive. For added convenience, any devices plugged in will charge while in this docking station. If a phone call comes in while docked, any music playing or audio from a movie will automatically be muted. A remote control is included in the box.
