The Philips PD9016/37 is an entry-level portable DVD designed for in-vehicle use. This pair of 9-inch LCD screens is comparable to the PD9012/37. This particular model features smaller and lower resolution screens at 480 x 234 pixels.

In addition to DVDs, this unit can play MP3 CDs and JPEG photo discs. High fidelity MP3 files up to 320 kbps are compatible, allowing for hours of music playback on the road. Numerous forms of recordable media are also supported, including rewritable DVD+/-RW and CD-RW formats. The built-in speakers are rated at 250mW of output power; however a headphone jack also exists for individual use. A car adapter and two mounting straps are included in the box.
