The 55PFL5505D/F7 is a 55" LCD HDTV from Philips' 5500 Series for 2010.  The TV has an ultra-slim design with a rounded bezel and features a widescreen LED-backlit display.  It offers a full HD native resolution of 1080p and has 240Hz video processing for reduced motion blur suitable for gaming and watching sports.

  The TV includes integrated speakers with SRS TruSurround HD for accompanying virtual stereo sound.  The 55PFL5505D/F7 is designed with a Powersave mode and an ambient light sensor, making it Eco-friendly and allowing it to exceed Energy Star 4.0 standards.  It also has four HDMI ports and is a step down from the 55PFL5705D since it lacks NetTV capability.  The 55PFL5505D/F7 is expected to be released in May 2010 and has a suggested retail price of $1999.
