The camcorder features an enhanced 78X optical zoom and utilizes Advanced Optical Image Stabilizer to reduce blurriness even when fully zoomed and during movement. The camcorder has a 33mm wide-angle lens and features a Wide-Angle video capture setting specifically designed for use while indoors or in tight spaces. Additionally, Intelligent Auto technology is included that can register and detect specific faces and automatically focus on them for the best picture during video recording. For media storage, the SDR-H85 uses both an on-board 80GB hard disk drive and both SD and SDXC memory card compatibility.
