The Cons:Slower than average shot-to-shot delay - especially with flash enabled. Not a huge upgrade over the DMC-ZR1 if HD video isn't considered a key factor. Using special battery (not rechargeable batteries).

The Lumix DMC-ZR3 is a 14.1 megapixel point-and-shoot digital camera from Panasonic, set to be released in mid-march 2010. Similar to the DMC-TS2, this camera features the “Venus Engine II,” which Panasonic claims allows for faster operation and reduced noise when taking photos.

With an 8x optical zoom and an ultra-wide-angle lens, average users should find enough flexibility with this Lumix to perfect their shots. On the back of the camera users will find a 2.7” LCD screen for previewing and reviewing content. Casual photographers will likely enjoy the ‘Happy Mode” option, which automatically applies a vivid color filter to photos and video. Up to 720p resolution movies can be recorded in AVCHD Lite 720p video format. The DMC-ZR3 is compatible with both SD and SDXC memory cards. Color options include silver, black, red, and blue.
