The Cons:Optical zoom can't be used while recording video. 16MP sensor is overkill.

Otherwise they are built and work the same, using a 16.1 megapixel CCD and an 8x optical zoom lens. The high resolution of the sensor is combined with an Intelligent Zoom option to gracefully extend the zoom range to 10x using digital enhancement without distortion, and the 18x Extra Optical zoom focuses on the center of the sensor for the most undistorted image possible. The touch screen enables the Touch Shutter function, which sets the auto-focus to the subject touched on the screen and releases the shutter right away. Touch AF Tracking allows focus to follow a moving subject as well.
