The Pros:Video output on a HDTV looks great, very sharp and detailed. Easy to hook up to an external display for quick reviews. Video light is more than bright enough for most applications.
The Cons:Still photos lack some detail compared to pictures taken with a purpose-built still camera.

This camcorder's iA (Intelligent Auto) feature selects the most suitable shooting mode at the press of a button. This feature includes Face Recognition, which finds the faces of registered people (up to six faces can be registered) and optimizes the focus and exposure for them. The HDC-TM90 features a 1MOS sensor that can capture HD video at 1920 x 1080 resolution. With the addition of the optional Panasonic VW-CLT 3D Conversion lens, this camcorder is capable of capturing 3D. The 40x Intelligent zoom of this camcorder uses Panasonic's Crystal Engine PRO, a high-resolution processor that helps to record clear, crisp videos even in low-lighting. The 28mm wide-angle lens is ideal for shooting in tight spaces. With the HDC-TM90, you can record to SDXC/SDHC/SD memory cards or the 16GB built-in memory (which is what sets this model apart from the lower cost HDC-SD90 model, which has no memory). This model differs from the lower cost HDC-TM80 model in that it has a 40x Intelligent zoom as opposed to 42x, a 28mm wide-angle lens as opposed to 33.7mm, and is capable of recording 3D (with the addition of the CLT1 conversion lens). The Panasonic HDC-TM90 camcorder is equipped with a Hybrid optical image stabilizer, which reduces blur due to arm and hand shake.
