Panasonic HDC-SD90

$549.99 Released January, 2011

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Hybrid OIS (image stabilization) - completely accounts for hand shake, not noticeable at all. Records in full 1080p high definition at 50 frames per second for smooth motion. Camera is very light, easy to handle.

The Cons:Manual focusing uses the touchscreen. VW-CLT1 adapter (for 3D shooting) is very expensive. Batteries tend to wear out fairly quickly, have a harder and harder time keeping a charge.

The Panasonic HDC-SD90 is a mid-cost camcorder. This camcorder's iA (Intelligent Auto) feature selects the most suitable shooting mode at the press of a button. This feature includes Face Recognition, which finds the faces of registered people (up to six faces can be registered) and optimizes the focus and exposure for them.

The HDC-SD90 features a 1MOS sensor that can capture HD video at 1920 x 1080 resolution.
