OCZ Vertex Limited Edition
$900.00
Released February, 2010
The Pros:3-year warranty. Features the SandForce SF-1500 controller - arguably the fastest consumer SSD controller to date. Limited edition isn't just a silly add-on name - truly somewhat exclusive with only 5000 drives being made.
The Cons:Limited number of drives being produced - around 5000. Very expensive - far from the current X25-M sweet spots.
The OCZ Vertex Limited Edition is a solid state drive for power users. The Limited Edition's advantage over the Vertex 2 is in the 4k random write, which specializes in fast access to data scattered around the hard drive.
