Nokia HF-510

$100.00 Released December, 2009

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Large easy to use scroll wheel (the edges of the entire speaker unit) - can be used to scroll through contacts, raise or lower volume. Small display lets you know who is calling. Suction cup allows you to attach the unit to any flat surfaces available in your car.

The Cons:Stand-by battery life is 7 days - a huge reduction from the HF-310s 40 days, with the only difference between the two being the 510's display. Non-removable battery.

The Nokia HF-510 is a Bluetooth speakerphone designed for handsfree calling in an automobile. It is the centerpiece unit in the Nokia HF series and a direct successor to the HF-310. It maintains the exact same features—a single multifunctional answer/end key, a volume dial, and a power button—but adds along a small LCD screen that shows you the name of the person that is calling.

Where to Buy

For this to work correctly, your mobile address book must be forwarded to the speakerphone via Bluetooth. One drawback to the HF-510, however, is that due to the increased battery usage, the standby time drops to 180 hours (versus 40 days).

Additional Information

Featured on the HF-510 is a compact design with just one button for answering/ending calls, last number redialing, voice dialing, and initiating the pairing process. Included also is a volume dial that turns clockwise (+) and counter-clockwise (-), and a power on/off key. As for mounting, the device can be clipped to a sun visor, suction-cupped onto the windshield, or adhesively attached to any flat surface in the car.

Pixar: #nokia_hf_510 Correction: it is 180h standby (7.5 days). Nokia Europe website said 480h - I was in contact with their Customer service and they confirmed the 180h. That IS a fall compared to the 310... Feb 23, 11
