The Nikon EN-EL15 is a rechargeable Lithion-Ion battery designed exclusively for either the Nikon D7000 camera or MB-D11 battery pick. Used directly with the camera, it provides at least double the battery life compared to the D7000’s original battery.

Used with the battery, it adds four additional hours in addition to the camera’s normal lifespan. According to review after review, the EN-EL15 rechargeable battery recharges very quickly and lasts an extensively long time, even in below freezing or extremely hot environments. According to tests, the Nikon EN-EL15 battery can last a minimum of 1250 pictures, though some users have managed to keep it running fresh with up to 1500 photos.
