Netgear XAVNB2001

$125.00 Released February, 2010

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Power, network connection and activity LED light indicators. Minimalist aesthetic. Very easy to install.

The Cons:Can only connect to a single client without further investment in a switch / router / more units - unlike WiFi. Bulky size. Old software is not compatible with 64bit operating systems.

The Netgear XAVNB2001 is a Poverline AV 200 Wireless-N Extender Kit featuring a Powerline AV 200 Ultra Adapter (XAV2001) and a Powerline AV 200 Wireless-N Extender (XAVN2001). The former establishes an initial connection from a broadband connection to the outlet, while the latter receives that connection from a remotely located electrical outlet, and then wirelessly transmits it to PCs, TiVO, Slingboxes, televisions, and gaming consoles.
