Powered by a 3.2-horsepower motor, the unit can reach speeds of up to 15 miles-per-hour, with an inclination system that can provide angling up to 15 percent. A "Softrak" suspension deck is included with a wide tread surface that prevents accidental mis-stepping, and also provides cushioning to project the user's back and leg joints. Telemetric heart rate information is gathered throughout each workout via two points - pulse sensors fitted in the unit's grips, and a chest belt for the most accurate possible readings. Additional time and distance are available, with pre-configured 5 and 10-kilometer distances included that span a number of difficulty types. The T516 also utilizes an integrated fan system that helps to maintain user comfort during intensive exercise, maintaining healthy body temperature with all-in-one convenience.
