The Xbox 360 Bluetooth Headset is capable of communicating with any Xbox 360 console by way of its standard radio frequencies, meaning the Bluetooth Headset doesn't need to be plugged into a controller in order to communicate with a 360. Its built-in Bluetooth technology, of course, allows the Xbox 360 Bluetooth Headset to also communicate with any Bluetooth-enabled device (phones, computers).
