Lost Planet 2

$60.00 Released March, 2010

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Co-Op Campaign (SWEET!). Absolutely phenomenal graphics. Great sense of scale - both in level designs and enemy characters.

The Cons:Giant Akrid make the regular ones feel bland and repetitive. Split screen co-op makes the windows unnecessarily small - almost unusable. Online system is quite archaic - takes some time to figure out.

Lost Planet 2 is a third-person shooter video game developed and published by Capcom in 2010 for Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and Microsoft Windows. A sequel to “Lost Planet”, Lost Planet 2 picks up 10 years after the original story.

Product Shot 2 The landscape of E.D.N. III has evolved dramatically as the ice has melted, giving way to jungles and tropical areas. The player takes control of a snow pirate squad, directing battles against the Akrid and trying to stop NEVEC (evil corporation). Some recurring gameplay elements from the original include extreme terrain, major boss battles, and the ability to pilot mechanized armor suits. Most notable about Lost Planet 2 is its addition of co-op gameplay in campaign mode, allowing 4 players to team up against enemies. Plus, Lost Planet 2 allows players to create and customize their own character, including head, body, back, legs, hair-style, gestures, and more.

Additional Information

According to GamesRadar, ““Teeth-rattling explosions. Bullet-belching robot suits. Giant monster-lizards that literally pass you through their ass and crap you onto the battlefield. If there’s one idea Capcom wants to convey about Lost Planet 2, it’s “more” – more towering bugs, more bosses, more players, more stuff to do.””

Very few people playing online means it's difficult to find games

You'll get absolutely destroyed online if you don't upgrade your character

  • 1

Only way to get decent number of credits for character upgrades is by playing the campaign

  • 1

Buying upgrades is annoying because you spend your credits on a "roulette spin" and will either get something cool, or something totally useless - most of the time it's something useless

  • 1

Absolutely non-existent and incomprehensible story line

Omar: #lost_planet_2 I have to say I absolutely love this game. I mean... it's definitely not without it's faults. But when you're flying around a level in a helicopter tank taking out other Mechs and just blowing everything up in a rain-soaked level with lightning flashing all around without the frame rate dropping or anything - it's truly a sight to behold. When this game works, it's just flat out fun. I'm actually having a lot more fun with this than even Halo Reach. If Lost Planet 2 had the polish and smart interface design that Halo Reach had behind it, it'd pretty much be the best game ever. Oct 18, 10
