The Cons:A bit weak when outdoors in the display dept. Dumb Iron Man media - commercial, website, etc... Nothing revolutionary compared to other new Android offerings.
The LG Ally (VS740) is an Android-based smartphone available only in the US through Verizon wireless. It features Google's Android 2.1 OS with CDMA dual band (1900/800 MHz) connectivity. With a four-row full QWERTY keyboard, as well as a 3.2 inch tempered glass touchscreen, the Ally aims for ease-of-use.

The Ally's TFT display boasts 262,000 colors at an 800x480 resolution for clear and vibrant images. The LG Ally comes equipped with the standard Android configuration as well as GPS, a 3.2-megapixel camera, stereo Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
Its variety of standard features make the LG Ally a well-balanced smartphone; its 3.2 megapixel camera and built-in GPS make the Ally a good all-around device in terms of functionality while its Bluetooth and 802.11b/802.11g/802.11n Wi-Fi support serve to make the Ally a powerful media device. With its 600 MHz MSM7627 processor and 256 MB RAM / 512 MB ROM, the Ally is powerful enough to keep up with its many features. Additionally, the Ally's Lithium-Ion, 1500 mAh gives it an approximate 7.5 hours of talk time on one charge and 500 hours (21 days) of stand-by time.

#lg_ally_vs740 great phone, but one drawback: when the alarm sounds if you push the wrong button you lose the screen and the alarm wont shut off unless you power down!
